If you follow me on social media, you know I live in Louisiana. Let me tell you, it is HOT. I'm sure all of you are feeling the heat as well, so I wanted to chat about a fun summer activity that incorporates a way to chill down and boost language!Ā
It's that time of year when many of our speech kiddos are off on vacation, living their best lives, while we are left wondering if their goal progress will take a steep nose dive on their return.Ā But fear not! There's tons of activities that are easy to implement by caregivers while they are on vacation too.Ā
By giving parents specific examples of how to incorporate language into our daily routines, we help them increase their opportunities for language. The best way to do that? Think of chores or necessary parts of life that parents useĀ everyday. Today we'll talk about one that is so underutilized but can increase their child's language skills tremendously with little effort: car rides!
